Chronic Pain Condition

Conditions that cause ongoing pain and discomfort.

While chronic pain is not recognized as a disability on its own, primary diseases and conditions, like fibromyalgia, arthritis, and neuropathy for example, can lead to chronic pain. Individuals can have an Residual Functional Capacity (RFC) assessment done by a physician to determine if their symptoms qualify as a disability based on the extent to which limits or restricts their capacity to work.
