Dear TAPDINTO-STEM Community and Broader Network,

We regret to share the news that, effective May 2, 2025, NSF’s Eddie Bernice Johnson INCLUDES Initiative TAPDINTO-STEM Alliance is no longer being funded by the National Science Foundation, due to the alignment of our work with the agency’s evolving priorities.

This decision does not reflect the quality or importance of the work we’ve done together—work that has empowered students with disabilities and advanced equity in STEM across the country.

While this initiative is ending sooner than expected, our collective efforts have laid a strong foundation that will carry forward long after this project’s conclusion. Together, we have:

  • Strengthened opportunities for students with disabilities in STEM,

  • Built lasting partnerships across institutions and disciplines,

  • And advanced inclusion and equity in meaningful ways.

Our shared vision—to build a more inclusive and accessible future for persons with disabilities—remains as urgent and relevant as ever.

We deeply appreciate the dedication and heart this community continues to bring.  Thank you for believing in this work—and in each other.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The TAPDINTO-STEM Backbone
